In this video we discuss how and when to stretch for someone who is new to the sport of running. We discuss the three areas that most runners typically show tightness, how to assess if you are tight in those areas, and a stretch to help work on that specific area. Every runner is different and you may or may not have tightness in these areas. It is also possible that you may have tightness in other areas that are not mentioned in this video. If you are unsure what stretches are right for you it would be important to be seen by someone who understands the human body and running as a sport to help you identify problem areas and how to address them.
