In this episode we discuss a simple approach to tissue scraping sometimes referred to as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization or cross friction massage. The key of the technique is to understand why to use it, when to use it, and what to expect from it. The technique is a tool but is never to be substituted for a sole intervention. When used in isolation without resistance progressive exercises and range of motion drills, the technique is often a short term relief only.
